Aqua trekking: a brief analysis of environmental impacts.

RIASSUNTO
I piccoli fiumi e i torrenti possono costituire esempi di habitat quasi incontaminati o comunque ben conservati. Tuttavia, presentano spesso molteplici fragilità intrinseche. Nonostante questo, da qualche anno si sta diffondendo anche in Italia la pratica sportiva dell’Acqua trekking. Questo sport, di norma praticato in gruppi organizzati, prevede il camminamento nel letto del corso d’acqua, senza che venga tenuto in debita considerazione il forte impatto ambientale che ne consegue. Nel presente lavoro vengono analizzate le problematiche ambientali più rilevanti.
ABSTRACT
Small rivers and streams often represent examples of almost completely uncontaminated or well-preserved habitats, but which, however, present multiple intrinsic fragilities. Despite this, the sport of Aqua trekking has been spreading in Italy for some years. This sport, usually practiced in organized groups, involves walking in the bed of the watercourses, without taking into due consideration the strong environmental impact that follows. In this work, the most important environmental problems are analyzed.
